Irish Water Planning Breakfast


Planning Week 2018 will begin with a Planning Breakfast hosted by Irish Water in the Westin Hotel, Dublin.

This event is strictly IPI member only.

Speakers at the event include;

Michael Tinsley – Infrastructure Portfolio Delivery Manager, Irish Water

Michael is a UCD graduate and Chartered Engineer with over 20 years experience in Programme Planning and Project Delivery in both utilities and local authorities.
Michael is currently responsible for the delivery of a multi-billion euro portfolio of major Water and Water Projects in the Irish Water Capital Investment Plan.

Maria O’Dwyer, Head of Connections and Developer Services, Irish Water

Maria is a Senior Executive with over 20 years’ experience in the engineering and utility sector. Before taking up her current role as Head of Connections and Developer Services in Irish Water, she held a number of senior management roles in Gas Networks Ireland.  As Head of Connections and Developer Services, Irish Water, she has responsibility for all connections to the Irish Water networks.  This includes the delivery of national processes, polices and works for water services connections, embedding new national quality assurance regimes and the establishment of a new national connection charging policy.  Maria has extensive experience in Asset Management, particularly in the efficient delivery of large capital and planned maintenance work programmes from strategy through to construction.  Maria has a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Masters in Digital Signal Processing from University College Dublin.

Niall Cussen, Principal Planning Advisor, Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government

Niall Cussen MIPI is Principal Planning Advisor in the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government. Before joining the Department in 2000, Niall worked in a number of planning posts in the previous 11 years in both local authorities such as Clare, Meath and Dublin City and An Bord Pleanala. He is a past president of the Irish Planning Institute.
