The Environment Planning and Sustainability society of TU Dublin has organised several events for Planning Week 2019.
All are Welcome!
Monday 4th November:
There will be two events on Monday including;
Eoin O’ Broin TD, Sinn Fein spokesperson on housing,will be discussing his new book “Home” and the housing crisis. Eoin is a passionate believer that the public sector is the answer and will be explaining this at the Linen Gallery in TU Dublin’s Linen Hall campus, the home of our architects at 10 AM.
Secondly, Frank McDonald, the former environment editor for the Irish Times and author of several books most recently “Truly Frank: A Dublin Memoir.” Frank’s will be discussing “Dublin: The Dysfunctional City” This talk will take place in room 420 on the top floor of the Bolton Street campus at 12 pm on Monday.
Tuesday 5th November:
Cllr Neasa Hourigan who is a sitting Dublin City Councillor for the Green Party representing the Cabra-Glasnevin constituency. Neasa is the founder of the Irish Pedestrian Network and Dublin Blockers on social media. She is presenting on behalf of the Deputy Lord Mayors’ office. Neasa will be discussing the new city development plan and the relationship the councillors have with the executive branch in room 134 in Bolton street on Tuesday.
Thursday 7th November:
The final Event of Planning Week 2019 is a discussion between Minister Damien English, Fine Gael TD and Joseph Corr on the National Planning Framework 2040 and other topics. Damien English is the Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Joseph Corr is the president of the Irish Planning Institute. The discussion will take place at 4pm in room 281 in Bolton Street.
